How to update the site

How to update the site
  1. Add an event
    Harborlight → Events → Add New. Fill in the date, time and place, then Publish. It appears on Shows and, if it is one of the next three, on the home page. It disappears by itself the day after.
  2. Publish a new Form 990
    Media → Add New and upload the PDF. Then Harborlight → Financial documents → Add New, choose the file and the year, and Publish. The file size is worked out for you.
  3. Mark a program full, or open a place
    Harborlight → Programs → open the program → change "Places taken". When it reaches "Places in total", the enrolment form offers the waitlist instead.
  4. Take a student's work off the site
    Harborlight → Student work → open the piece → switch off "Guardian permission on file" → Update. It leaves the gallery at once.
  5. Ask for volunteers at a show
    Harborlight → Volunteer shifts → Add New. Choose the show, name the task, give the time and how many people it needs. It appears on the Volunteer page, and the show gets a "Volunteer at this show" link until every place is filled.
  6. Send year-end giving statements
    Harborlight → Year-end statements → look at donors marked Fix or Check, add checks and stock under "Gifts entered by hand", preview a statement, then Send. In this demonstration nothing is emailed.
  7. Describe a photo for screen readers
    Media → open the photo → fill in "Alternative Text" with what the picture shows, in one sentence.
